Congressman Ron Klein Congressman Ronald "Ron" Klein is an American politician from the U.S. State of Florida. Klein, a Democrat, served in the Florida House of Representatives from 1993 to 1996 and in the Florida Senate from 1996 till 2006, where he was the Senate minority leader. Klen was elected in the 2006 House election in Florida's 22nd congressional district, defeating 13-term Republican incumbent Clay Shaw. Klein was sworn in to the United States Congress on January 4th, 2007. An experienced leader with a solid record of service, Ron has developed a reputation for working in a bipartisan manner to find common sense solutions that will improve the lives of Florida’s families and businesses. ___________________________________________________________________________________________

David Faulkenberry is the Deputy Secretary of the Florida Department of Management Services. Working at DMS since 2006, he has been responsible for the Divisions of Retirement, Human Resource Management, State Group Insurance People First HR System and Division of Teleciommunications.

Steve Bordelon Steve Bordelon has extensive experience in executive positions with Palm Beach County and the City of Tallahassee. Since 1997, he has served as the County’s Director of Information Systems Services (ISS). The ISS Director is responsible for the enterprise computing and telecommunications requirements of Palm Beach County government. Palm Beach County maintains an extensive fiber optic network which provides backbone connectivity for more than 10,000 employees. Palm Beach County is also a charter member of Palm Beach Broadband which was established as a collaborative to share broadband network resources among various public sector organizations and their constituents. Mr. Bordelon’s previous positions include Budget Director (Palm Beach County) and City Auditor (City of Tallahassee. He graduated from Florida State University with a B.S. degree in Accounting and is a certified public accountant in the State of Florida. He is also actively involved as a campaign cabinet member of the United Way of Palm Beach County. ___________________________________________________________________________________________ Chuck Spalding Chuck Spalding serves as Project Manager for Palm Beach Broadband, a consortium of eight Palm Beach County based organizations. The CTO level executives of Palm Beach County Government, South Florida Water Management District, Palm Beach Community College, Florida Atlantic University, The School District, The Health Care District, as well as executives from the League of Cities and the Education Commission comprise the Board. Since 2006, Chuck has worked to coordinate the creation of a regional fiber based broadband network interlinking the telecommunications networks of the member organizations and other agencies throughout the County. In addition, he coordinates the group’s efforts to create “Digital Inclusion Zones” in a number of high poverty neighborhoods throughout the County. Mr. Spalding’s previous positions include Product Manager @ Cisco Systems and Director of Technology at CACI in Arlington, VA where he managed the deployed of numerous national/international networks for Federal agencies such as the FAA, Department of Defense and US Geological Survey. Chuck holds a Masters degree in Information Systems from George Washington University in Washington, DC and is a certified Project Management Professional (PMP). ___________________________________________________________________________________________ Don Landin Mr. Landin has over 20 years experience in both computer networking and marketing. He was hired by Fort Pierce Utilities Authority, or “FPUA”, in 2000 to head up their Internet Service Provider venture. Don developed this concept into what is now known as the FPUAnet Communications division. FPUAnet utilizes the FPUA-owned fiber optic network to provide high bandwidth connectivity and Internet services to businesses and institutions. Mr. Landin is currently involved development of FPUAnet Communications. When hurricanes threaten, Don heads up the team of FPUA liaisons at the St. Lucie County Emergency Operations Center. He is a member of Leadership St. Lucie class 24, has served as a United Way Loaned Executive, United Way Allocations Committee member, Economic Development Council Marketing Committee member, and Chamber of Commerce committees. Mr. Landin currently serves on the Economic Development Council of St. Lucie County Board of Directors, and the Steering Committee for the Research Coast Broadband Coalition. ___________________________________________________________________________________________ Kevin Kryzda Kevin began working for Martin County in 1983. By 1987 he was promoted to Water Resource Manager where he conceived and developed a multi-year GIS program that was approved by the Board. As a result of the innovative GIS implementation in 1989 he was transferred to Information Services to manage the project. Thereafter, he became Director and ultimately CIO of a multi-million dollar organization serving the technology needs of the Board and other government and non-profit organizations in Martin County. Kevin led the County's effort to adopt a new telecommunications tower ordinance and negotiated the County's cable television franchise, including an I-net. The Countywide Public Safety Emergency Radio System is his responsibility and he successfully negotiated a multiyear contract for a countywide in-house telephone and voicemail system saving over $100,000/year in service costs to the County. He is currently working on enterprise consolidations and shared service models. As technical advisor to local, regional and national technology organizations, Kevin freely shares the benefits of his years of IT leadership. He currently participates on a statewide FLGISA Disaster Management committee. Kevin has been active in FLGISA leadership, currently holding the office of President. Kevin holds a B.S. Oceanography from the Florida Institute of Technology and M.B.A. from Nova Southeastern University. In 2007 Kevin received his CPTM and CCIO accreditation from the Florida Institute of Government and Florida State University. Born and raised in Mexico City, he now lives with his wife, Taryn, in Stuart, Florida, where they enjoy jogging, watersports, racquetball and sports of all kinds. ___________________________________________________________________________________________ Linda Fuchs SUMMARY OF RECENT MAJOR ACCOMPLISHMENTS FOR THE STATE OF FLORIDA FLORIDA OFFICE OF ECONOMIC RECOVERY (2009-present) One of four persons coordinating efforts for over 75 programs and $14 billion in Recovery Act funding being managed by Florida’s state agencies. DEPARTMENT OF MANAGEMENT SERVICES Special Needs Shelters Emergency Power Initiative (2007-2009) Organized efforts of contractors and state and local agencies for construction of generator facilities at 48 sites throughout the state using FEMA and state General Revenue funding. Florida Interoperability Network (FIN) (2003-2008) Directed the efforts of contractors, state staff and local public safety representatives to develop the country’s largest system for radio interoperability. The system serves over 150 state, federal and local entities and has been the largest recipient of Homeland Security grant funding in Florida each year since 2004. Statewide Law Enforcement Radio System (SLERS) (2001-2008) Assumed management of this project in October 2001 and managed it to substantial completion in June 2006. SLERS is the largest 800 MHz system in the country and serves over 40 state, federal and local public safety entities through a public/private partnership. Integrated Financial Management System (1999-2001) Directed all activities to develop a prototype ERP (enterprise resource planning) system and plan the project to replace the State’s administrative systems. Before that she was SEFLIN’s Director of Staff Development Services for the (SEFLIN) for four years where she had primary responsibility for planning continuing education for library staff in Southeast Florida. Prior to coming to SEFLIN, Jeannette was the Associate Director of the Central New York Library Resources Council in Syracuse, New York for 18 years. In Central New York her responsibilities included managing grant projects for cooperative projects for many types of libraries relating to library automation, digitization, preservation, medical and health information, and other resource sharing activities. When not at work, Jeannette likes to travel, to garden, to cook (and to eat) foods from all over the world. ___________________________________________________________________________________________
